Timeless Design
Charles is unique and wonderful to work with, because he never accepts the normal, but never stops looking for new ways to put creative soul into places; from the heart, low-impact, and unexpected.

All Around Great Place to Stay
The Coastal Sanctuary was a lovely, comfortable, and all around amazing place to stay. We loved the house; all the the natural light, the amenities, and the fun surprises (like the outdoor shower!). The view from the house are fabulous, plus its a short ride or walk into downtown Manzanita. We spent our days playing at the beach, then making lovely meals and relaxing at the house each morning./night. Our family highly recommends!. - Anonymous 9/4/2020
The Ultimate Sanctuary
Look no further, this spot is a true sanctuary. It feels like a treehouse dreamscape, with unique and sophisticated character and beauty. A gorgeous tree trunk and branches spread through the living space, windows everywhere with sky views, beauty in every direction - inside and out. I can hardly bear to leave it for the actual beach! But it’s a short walk to get there, and/or to get to town. My stay was deeply restorative and inspiring; and how could it not b? Favorites include the hot tub, best beds.bedding ever, upper deck view/ocean smell, sitting in comfort anywhere on the high, open living level…Wonderfull details of all kinds to appreciate. - Mary 7/24/2020
Star Gazing at The Coast Sanctuary
My family and I love visiting Manzanita. Staying at The Coast Sanctuary made our visit extra special. After a long day of adventures, we enjoyed cooking meals, playing games and reading books on the comfortable couch. The house is beautifully adorned and offered plenty of space to unwind; As the sun set, we lingered on the deck with our warm tea and were dazzled by the amazing view and millions of stars. The gentle hum of the ocean, and the wind in the trees were our goodnight song. The beds are super comfortable and we slept great. We hope to visit again! - Ralph and Indra 2/19/2020
Exquisite Sanctuary
In short this house is exquisite. We throughly enjoyed our stay in this clean, well-equipped, stylish and comfortable home. The design of this house is gorgeous. The main floor is upstairs, the view along with the tree support in the center of the bright sky-lit open floor plan offer a tree house vibe. Highlight for me included the sweet koi poi the the front, two balconies, and an expanse deck offering a different views and sun exposure, and access to the hot tub for the bedrooms on the first level the the house. This house feels like a sweet sanctuary. The house is walking distance to the beach and to town yet perched on a hill, offering a tucked away appeal for our desire for quiet and privacy. The artistic touches throughout are lovely. I highly recommend this house in Manzanita, especially to those hoping for for peaceful and realaxing vacation time.

Expansive and cozy
This outstanding property succeeds in feeling both expansive and cozy. Through a well made metal entry gate awaits an enchanted little garden complete with a koi pond. The first floor is a cozy space with three well-appointed bedrooms with a a clawfoot tub in one bathroom and a shower space in the other. Off the back is a hot tub which feels nestled in the forest. When you walk upstairs to the kitchen/living room the house proves to be a beautiful open space room with a crowing skylight and large windows looking out on the coastal range and trees surrounding the house. The open floorpan and dramatic balcony view give the space an expansive, aerie like quality. The house manages to be beautifully decorated without losing the hominess that is often sacrfitied in the name of design. The kitchen is well stocked with everything one would ned to cook a meal. The sitting area in the main open room invites one to linger on the comfortable couch with a book while watching the fire in the wood burning stove. There is a smaller sitting area with a television and second balcony that looks out on the garden. Location wise it sits up on a hill but is a very short walk and even shorter drive from the beach and the main drag of Manzanita. I am usually one to eat out (and Manzanita has some fantastic restaurants), but I found it hard to not want to be in this beautiful space. I will definitely stay here again and give this space my highest recommendation. - Rodney 2/9/2020
